By Using StoryDesk, You Agree to These Terms
By accessing or using StoryDesk (storydesk.ai), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). StoryDesk is operated by Story Suite Pty Ltd, an Australian company ("we", "our", "us"). If you don't agree with these Terms, please don't use the platform.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Data Retention Policy, form the complete agreement between you and Story Suite Pty Ltd regarding your use of StoryDesk.
What StoryDesk Is
StoryDesk is an AI-powered content management platform that helps you research, create, manage, and distribute content across multiple brands and platforms.
Create
AI-assisted content generation, scheduling, and publishing across platforms.
Manage
Multi-brand management, workflow and collaboration tools.
Distribute
Integrations with Facebook, Instagram, WordPress, Wix, Substack, and more.
Your Account
- Provide accurate, complete information when you sign up.
- Keep your login details confidential.
- You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
- Tell us straight away if you notice any unauthorised use of your account.
- You need to be at least 18 to create an account.
Billing & Subscriptions
- StoryDesk is offered on a subscription basis. Pricing, features, and plan details are available on our website.
- Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- We may change our pricing with reasonable notice. If you keep using StoryDesk after a price change, that means you've accepted the new pricing.
- Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. We do not store your full credit card details.
Your Content & Intellectual Property
Your Content
You keep ownership of everything you create, upload, or input into StoryDesk ("User Content"). By using StoryDesk, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process, and display your content solely so we can provide the service to you.
AI-Generated Content
Content generated by StoryDesk's AI features is provided for your use. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, fact-checking, and approving all AI-generated content before publication. StoryDesk does not guarantee the accuracy, originality, or suitability of AI-generated content.
StoryDesk helps you draft content efficiently, but you remain the publisher.
You are responsible for every final editorial decision.
Our Intellectual Property
StoryDesk — its design, features, code, algorithms, branding, and documentation — is the intellectual property of Story Suite Pty Ltd. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights to our intellectual property beyond the right to use the platform as a subscriber.
What You Can't Use StoryDesk For
Don't use StoryDesk to:
- Spread misinformation, deceptive content, or undisclosed deepfakes
- Harass, vilify, or discriminate against individuals or groups
- Create illegal content or help anyone break the law
- Violate the privacy or confidentiality of others
- Plagiarise or deliberately copy copyrighted work without permission
- Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
- Interfere with the security, integrity, or performance of the platform
If we reasonably believe you're in breach of these Terms, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account.
Third-Party Integrations
Facebook & Instagram
StoryDesk integrates with Meta's Facebook and Instagram platforms via the Meta Graph API. By connecting your accounts:
- You authorise StoryDesk to access and use data from your connected accounts in line with our Privacy Policy and the permissions you grant.
- You acknowledge that your use of Facebook and Instagram through StoryDesk is also subject to Meta's Terms of Service and Meta's Platform Terms.
- You confirm you have the authority to connect the Pages and accounts you link, and that you've obtained any necessary consents from co-administrators or business owners.
- You can disconnect your Facebook or Instagram accounts at any time through your account settings. Once disconnected, we stop accessing that data and delete it in line with our Privacy Policy.
Other Integrations
StoryDesk also integrates with WordPress, Wix, Substack, and other platforms (with more added over time). Your use of these integrations is subject to each platform's own terms and policies. We're not responsible for the availability, performance, or policies of third-party platforms.
API Compliance
We access third-party APIs in compliance with each platform's developer terms. We can't guarantee uninterrupted access to third-party features, as these are controlled by the platform providers.
You're the Publisher
StoryDesk helps you draft content efficiently, but you remain the publisher. You are solely responsible for:
- All final editorial decisions about content published through StoryDesk
- Fact-checking, verifying claims, confirming quotes and dates, and ensuring accuracy
- Legal review where relevant — including defamation, copyright, and privacy considerations
- Compliance with platform-specific content rules (e.g., Facebook Community Standards, Instagram Community Guidelines)
- Disclosing AI assistance where your audience would reasonably expect it
Disclaimers
We work hard to keep StoryDesk running smoothly, but we can't promise it'll be perfect 100% of the time. Here's what that means in legal terms:
StoryDesk is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Story Suite Pty Ltd disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
- The platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
- AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, original, or suitable for any particular purpose
- Third-party integrations will remain available or function without interruption
- Content published through StoryDesk will comply with all applicable laws and platform policies
Our Liability to You
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Story Suite Pty Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill — arising from your use of StoryDesk.
In particular, we are not liable for damages arising from:
- Content published through third-party platforms (including Facebook and Instagram) using StoryDesk
- Changes to or discontinuation of third-party platform APIs or features
- Actions taken by third-party platforms, including account suspensions or content removals
- Reliance on AI-generated content without independent verification
Our total liability under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to StoryDesk in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Your Responsibility for Claims
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Story Suite Pty Ltd, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of StoryDesk, your User Content, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights.
Ending Your Account
- You can cancel your subscription and close your account at any time through your account settings.
- We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these Terms, with or without notice depending on the severity.
- Once your account is terminated, your right to use StoryDesk ends immediately. We'll retain and delete your data in line with our Privacy Policy and Data Retention Policy.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be handled by the courts of New South Wales, Australia.
When These Terms Change
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on our website and, where practicable, by email. If you keep using StoryDesk after changes take effect, that means you've accepted the revised Terms.
